New York Mets pay MLB highest price for max Scherzer.

The Associated Press reported on the 30th,The Mets signed a free agent (FA) Max Scherzer for three years and $130 million.Scherzer will receive an average of $43.33 million per year until the age of 40.It broke the New York Yankees right-handed pitcher Gerrit Cole's annual MLB record of $36 million. Scherzer won the Cy Young Award in 2013, 2016 and 2017.He averaged 2.46 ERAs and 236 strikeouts with the Washington Nationals and Los Angeles Dodgers for the 2021 season.He is considered one of the best strikeout pitchers in the game.Last September,he set the 19th 3,000 strikeout record in MLB history. The Mets, who own ace Jacob DeGrom have the best one-two punch in MLB with the signing of Scherzer.DeGrom is also a 2018 and 2019 Cy Young Award winner. The Mets moves are unstoppable.On the 27th,he signed with three fielders: infielder Eduardo Escobar (2 years, $20 million), outfielder Mark Canha (2 years, $26.5 million) and Starling Marte (4 years, $78 million), and immediately emerged as a candidate for the district championship.
